Registered Standards International (RSI) is committed to achieving compliance to ISO/IEC 17021-1: 2015, applicable laws, regulations and relevant accreditation body requirements.
Certification activities require access to privileged information. RSI upholds integrity and trust by maintaining the privacy of its clients and other stakeholders, including applicants for certification. RSI, its committees, external bodies and individual’s acting on its behalf, is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Personal information may be collected directly, e.g. through application forms, the audit process or retained audit evidence; or via third party, e.g. in a complaint. RSI use this information for certification activities and associated purposes, such as accounting, administrative support and investigating complaints.
Client name, certificate status and scope is displayed publicly via the IRQAO website www.irqao.com.
When RSI is required by law or authorised by contractual arrangements (such as with its accreditation body) to release personal information, the client or individual concerned shall be notified of what is being provided, unless prohibited by law.
On written request RSI may provide you limited access to the information held about you that may be lawfully provided. An administration fee is chargeable for this service.
RSI has implemented suitable procedures and equipment which are reviewed and maintained, to ensure effective management of personal information. RSI shall regularly review and maintain this policy in accordance with its Management System – Requirements for Certification Bodies.
